Canada District Convention 2010

There is a time for everything. A time to refrain from normal works and a time to refresh our spirits and souls through the words of God. The Canada District local churches have delegates gathered in Toronto Local house of worship to be a part of the 5th District Convention last February 28th to March 7th 2010. Truly that it is amazing to see the brethren gathered together and share with each other their testimonies and blessings they received from God as they faithfully serve the Lord. The 5th Canada District Convention was truly a blessing to Ottawa brethren who have participated in the convention. Through the words of God they have heard from different speakers, from ministers from Canada District and from Canada District Coordinator Ptr. Belle Obsanga. Ottawa delegates have testified how they were blessed by God's words. The Ottawa delegates was encouraged to increase their sacrifices and services to the Lord.

What makes the Canada District Convention more exciting and blessed was the words shared by the guest speakers. The special guests for the said event was Bro. Joseph Concepcion, Pastor of San Diego local and Pastor Jonathan Ferriol, District Coordinator of US District and Senior Pastor of South Bay, California Local. Pastor Nelia Hechanova of Vallejo, California graced the occassion as well.

Truly that the spiritual blessings that the brethren has received from the District Convention was incomparable to anything of this world. Though they have lost some material gain from being absent from their works but they gained spiritual blessings through the words of God they have received. The selected Ottawa sisters also participated in the opening service by giving a cultural dance, the "Canada Broom Dance". The Ottawa delegates offered unto the Lord a song of praise entitled "By Your Grace" and "We Worship You". The Ottawa Youth have offered unto the Lord a song of praise and Sis. Emily Grace Ramos was blessed to be a song leader in the seminar. Truly that it is another opportunity to grow in the faith and dedication unto the Lord. By God's grace Ottawa Youth was encouraged to dedicate their lives unto the Lord to a full time ministry. Sis. Elaine Medina and Sis. Ruth Joy Ramos have courageously came up the stage as Pastor Jonathan have encouraged the brethren to offer their best to the Lord, their "lives". May God continue to bless all who have attended the convention 2010. And those who haven't may God give the opportunity to attend next year. To God be all the glory!
